目前,高校图书馆有的设有样本书库,有的没设。这说明,对有无必要设样本书库这一问题看法存有分歧。在设有样本书库的馆中,对样本书如何留、怎样提供给读者使用,如何管理等问题,看法也不一致,做法也不相同。笔者多年来一直在样本书库工作,现结合工作体会来谈谈对这些问题的看法。一、样本书的作用如果弄清了样本书的作用和价值,也就知道有无必要设立样本书库了。随着科学的发展,目前出版的图书种多量大,其中有很多是各校教学和科研所需要的。但是,众所周知,近些年图书涨价幅度较大,多数馆图书经费增加的幅度远远赶不上图书涨价的幅度,
At present, some libraries in the university library are provided with sample book stores, while others do not have them.
