城墙是古代城市的主要防御设施,建造起源久远,工程浩大、工艺技术高超。中国古城墙,是中国城市出现的一个重要标志,表明我国古代文明发展进入一个新的时代,亦是世界古代文明的一个重要组成部分。一、我国城墙的起源与发展考古发现,在距今6000—4000年前的仰韶、龙山文化时代,黄河流域已经出现许多城址。早期城墙的作用主要是保护聚落不被野兽和外部落入侵,防止洪水侵害。
The city walls are the main defensive facilities in the ancient cities. They have a long history of construction, vast projects and superb technology. It shows that the development of ancient civilizations in our country has entered a new era and is also an important part of ancient civilizations in the world. I. The Origin and Development of Chinese Walls Archeology discovered that in the era of Yangshao and Longshan dating from 6000 to 4000 years ago, many urban sites have emerged in the Yellow River valley. The role of the early city walls is mainly to protect settlements from being invaded by beasts and externalities to prevent flooding.
