过去我国高速钢中W18Cr4V钢生产量最多,约占高速钢总产量的90%以上。对制造一些红硬性要求不高、低速切削的工具,无其他高速钢种选用,只好用W18Cr4V钢制作,这就造成了技术上的不合理,经济上的浪费。为改变这种不合理使用材料的状况,研制低合金高速钢是十分必要的。不仅能节约稀缺贵重的合金元素,而且会使工具成本显著降低。试验证明,4122低合金高速钢淬火温度范围宽,淬火与回火后硬度较高,耐磨性较好,尤其是经过氧氨共渗处理的刀具,切削性能接近甚至达到了W18Cr4V钢刀具的水平。
In the past, China’s high-speed steel W18Cr4V steel production up to about 90% of the total output of high-speed steel. Some of the red hard to create less demanding, low-speed cutting tools, no other high-speed steel selection, had to use W18Cr4V steel production, which resulted in a technical unreasonable, economic waste. In order to change the situation of such unreasonable materials, it is very necessary to develop low-alloy high-speed steel. Not only can saving scarce precious alloying elements, but also significantly reduce tool costs. Tests show that, 4122 low-alloy high-speed steel quenching temperature range, high hardness after quenching and tempering, wear resistance is better, especially after the oxygen ammonia co-treatment of the cutter, cutting performance close to or even reached the level of W18Cr4V steel tool .
