图中,紫荆花是向左斜垂的走势,采取左疏右密之法来表现,有清晰秀逸之感。双鸟站立在中间,使画面取得平衡。此图运用浓墨粗笔,悬崖被表现得庄重浑厚,与迎春花的轻快明丽起到对比作用。花枝自上而下倒垂,中心置一对广东白头鸟,使画面顿显平稳,颇有自然天成之意。同时,也显示出扑面而来的春日气息。
