为了提高玉米单交制种的产量,我社采用了一种新的制种方法,垄台种母本,垄沟种父本,每隔3条垄,在垄沟种1行父本,实行3∶1套种,父本不占地,母本保苗数增加1/3,增产效果显著。1975年,有43个生产队、3个小学共套种488.3亩,占单交制种面积的65.1%,平均亩产227斤,比对照亩产165斤,增产27.5%。由于在垄沟种父本,播种不易混,去雄不易错,收获不易杂,也有利于提高种子纯度。套种制种应注意的几个问题:(1)选旱涝保收地块为制种田,周围300米以内不种其他
