Popper’s narrative research has formed the basic framework of modern narratology, and his methods of studying folk stories using roles and functions have also been moved by film scholars to film analysis. The Hollywood blockbuster “Scorpion King” released in 2002 is a film that has successfully borrowed from Pulop’s narrative theory.
