Warmly celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. As an old water conservancy worker, he is very much encouraged and deeply impressed with the achievements made by China’s water conservancy in the past 40 years. He is deeply concerned about the development of China’s water conservancy in the future and holds both great hopes and many worries. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the cause of water conservancy has been booming. A great deal of work has been done both in flood control, irrigation and drainage, water supply, hydropower generation and in ports and waterways.
