现代陶艺的构成包括两个方面.一是从精神方面,以陶土为最基本的材料,用某种形式表现人的意愿,将情感符号结构一种空间.以纯艺术的形式表现“生命的冲击”,以无比的激情去追寻梦幻和想象中的一切,表现最基本也是最抽象的艺术.另一方面是工艺技艺.工艺技艺是陶瓷艺术完美表现的语言和手段.是艺术的媒介,没有适当的恰如其分的工艺技艺,就不能充分表现艺术创意和艺术的价值.工艺技艺是人们在陶瓷创造活动中对泥土的理解和把握,对火和水这些自然物人为的控制.因此由泥料、釉料、成型和制作方法以及烧成组成完整系统的陶瓷工艺技艺,是充分表现陶艺作品艺术精神的保证.
