大学英语教学方法在不断完善与创新,近年来出现了很多新的教学方法,例如交际法、听说法等。翻译教学法与这几种方法相比较,虽然有着较长的历史,但它并不是一种过时的教学方法,它能够存在这麽长时间,反而表明它自身的合理性、优越性。正是翻译教学法自身所具备的多种特点和优势决定了它在教学方法中有着不可替代的地位和作用。我们要坚持这种教学方法,发挥它的优势,但也不能保守地使用这种方法,而是要灵活地运用这种方法,以发挥它的最大作用,达到最佳的教学效果。
College English teaching methods are constantly improving and innovating. In recent years, many new teaching methods have emerged, such as communicative methods and listening and speaking methods. Compared with these methods, translation teaching method has a long history, but it is not an out-of-date teaching method. It can exist for so long but shows its own rationality and superiority. It is the translation teaching method itself has many characteristics and advantages that determine its teaching methods have an irreplaceable status and role. We should adhere to this teaching method and give full play to its advantages. However, we should not use this method conservatively. Instead, we should flexibly apply this method to maximize its effectiveness and achieve the best teaching results.
