In the Jane Eyre, Charlotte used the first-person narrative perspective to successfully construct a narrative subject image of Jane Eyre. Its narrative subverts the tradition of patriarchal narration and constructs the narrative voice and narrative authority of women. At the same time, the novel succeeds in establishing an effective connection between readers and narrators, enabling readers to understand the inner world of the protagonist and thus strengthen the female authority that narrates the voice. However, Charlotte Bronte’s cultural identity as a white-collar woman of the middle class of the colonies brought her unavoidable limitations in the construction of the female authority.
