1913年12月6日是中国共产党党员、音乐评论家、音乐教育家、音乐活动家,为我国音乐事业做出卓越贡献的音乐家李凌同志100周年诞辰。1913年李凌出生于广东华侨之乡台山,祖父、父亲均为旅美华侨。1938年7月李凌同志赴延安,就读于延安鲁迅艺术学院,其间,得到音乐家冼星海的亲授,曾任该院教务处教育科长。1940年到达国统区,在周恩来的领导下,开展新音乐运动。于重庆创办《新音乐》杂志、成立“新音乐社”。1941年于缅甸组织抗日宣传队,并在缅甸加入中国共产党。1943年于重庆加入中华交响乐团,任《音乐导报》编辑,同时在教育家陶行知创办的育才学校任音乐组主任。1946年在上海创建中华星期音乐院,1947年与音乐家马思聪等在香港创建中华音乐院。在为祖国音乐事业奔走的同时,他还为抗战、为民主运动谱写了30多首鼓舞人心的歌曲。
December 6, 1913 is the 100th anniversary of Comrade Li Ling, a musician who made outstanding contributions to the cause of music in our country, as a member of the Chinese Communist Party, a music critic, a music educator, a music activist. 1913 Li Ling was born in the hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangdong Taishan, his grandfather, his father are overseas Chinese in the United States. Comrade Li Ling went to Yan’an in July 1938 and studied at the Lu Xun Art Institute in Yan’an. In the meantime, he received the pro-Xian musician Xian Xianhai and served as the education chief of the Academic Affairs Office. In 1940, he arrived at the Nationalist District and conducted a new music movement under the leadership of Zhou Enlai. Founded “New Music” magazine in Chongqing and set up “New Music Club”. Anti-Japanese propaganda team was organized in Myanmar in 1941 and joined the Chinese Communist Party in Myanmar. In 1943, he joined the China Symphony Orchestra in Chongqing as editor of “Music Herald”, and was also the director of music group at Yucai School founded by educator Tao Xingzhi. In 1946 in Shanghai to create the China Music Week, in 1947 with musician Ma Sicong in Hong Kong to create the China Music Institute. While running for the music business of the motherland, he also wrote over 30 inspirational songs for the war of resistance and for the democratic movement.
