In June 1987, we accepted the task assigned by Hebei Academy of Agricultural Sciences to conduct a comprehensive study on the Lian-Niutian small watershed in Lianhe Village, Mahe Township, Xingtai County, Taihang Mountains. The investigation, based on the survey data summary, analysis and research, put forward the future direction of governance, the development of small watershed is of benefit. According to “China’s climate zoning”, the basin is a warm temperate semi-humid monsoon continental climate, the main features are: cold and dry in winter, hot and humid in summer, spring and autumn light enough.
