生长抑素(SST)是首先从绵羊下丘脑中分离出来的环状多肽类激素,广泛分布于大多数人体器官组织,具有抑制激素分泌、调节神经传递及细胞增殖的作用。人工合成的生长抑素类似物RC-160能表现出与天然SST相似的生理活性,且比天然的SST作用更强大,半衰期更长。许多研究表明,RC-160可以抑制实验性胰腺癌、前列腺癌、胃癌及各种内分泌肿瘤的生长。亦有研究提示,卵巢肿瘤组织中也存在着SST受体(SSTR)的表达,RC-160对卵巢肿瘤细胞具有明显的抑制作用,就SSTR及RC-160用于卵巢肿瘤的诊断治疗的研究进展综述。
Somatostatin (SST) is the first cyclic peptide hormone isolated from the hypothalamus in sheep and is widely distributed in most human organs and tissues. It inhibits hormone secretion, regulates neurotransmission and cell proliferation. Synthetic somatostatin analogues RC-160 can show similar to the natural physiological activity of SST, and more powerful than the natural SST, half-life longer. Many studies have shown that RC-160 can inhibit the growth of experimental pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, gastric cancer and various endocrine tumors.
