Peak Matching is a method of accurately measuring the mass in a mass spectrometer. At present, many mass spectrometers with medium and high resolution can accurately measure the mass to less than 10 ppm. This makes sense in determining the structure of the analyte. The Zhp-5 Organic High Resolution (6000 and above) mass spectrometer, successfully manufactured by the Scientific Instrument Factory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has an average accuracy of 1.5 ppm for peak matching measurements.
