选取《东西洋考每月统计传》中的“全食、事务、接办、构想、散商”五个新词,结合《汉语大词典》《近现代辞源》等代表性辞书,利用《四库全书》等数据库,简要进行探究,以揭示“西学东渐”时期传教士新词对于大型辞书编纂、汉语词汇史研究、中西语汇交流研究的价值和意义。
