一、前言由上海市南洋中学创造、延安中学加以完善,而后又经长宁区少科站以及《中学科技》等杂志的推广,室内小型热气球留空时间竞赛在上海全市正逐步成为青少年的一项新兴的科技活动.笔者认为,这项活动值得向全国推广介绍. 因为热气球材料成本低,制作方法简单,所涉及的原理又能结合所学的物理知识,不仅能发挥学生的创造能力,而且竞赛时场面热烈,兴趣盎然. 竞赛以热气球留空时间的长短决定名次.球体体积一般在0.1米~3左右,用5毫升酒精作燃料.从发射架上起飞到落地(或下落时触及参赛者)计作留空时间.为不受气流影响,竞赛必须在体操房等室内进行.起飞前,用4~6米长的细线拉住,以使每个参赛的热
