当前我国农村体育的发展始终伴随着工业化、市场化、城镇化。工业化意味着更多的农民通过各种途径参与到现代的生产体系中来,企业生产代替了家庭生产,作为资本力量载体的企业受资本力量的推动必然要求经济体制的市场化,那么,工业化和市场化的一个必然结果就是城镇化的迅速推进。工业化、城镇化及市场化深刻的改变了农村的生产方式、生活方式、消费方式,其在减轻农村体力支出的同时,也为农村体育的发展提供了深厚的物质基础,更对农村体育的发展提出了新的要求。因此,抓住农村体育发展的契机,实现农村体育的跨越式发展是经济发展和经济转型的内在要求,同时也是构建和谐社会的应有之义。
