磷是主要营养元素,但对咖啡叶片的化学分折显示磷的含量比其他主要元素如氮、钾低得多。在印度和其他国家的肥料试验均证实,结果咖啡树对磷的耗损总量是很少的。进一步试验仍未显示成龄咖啡对磷有任何明显的正相关反应。因此,建议对成龄咖啡可以根据土壤中磷含量和植株分折资料而适当地减少磷肥施用量。
Phosphorus is a major nutrient but the chemical breakdown of coffee leaves shows much lower levels of phosphorus than other major elements such as nitrogen and potassium. Fertilizer trials in India and other countries confirm that coffee trees have a negligible amount of phosphorus depletion. Further testing has not shown any significant positive correlation of aged coffee to phosphorus. Therefore, it is suggested that for aged coffee, the amount of phosphate fertilizer should be appropriately reduced according to the content of phosphorus in the soil and plant differentiation.
