锤造壳冠是口腔科常用的一种修复体。从大医院口腔科到基础口腔科都已广泛的采用。但壳冠的成形技术目前仍采取传统的工艺制作。传统的成形工具是用劈凿、成形圈、空心铁柱以低熔合金形成阴模和阳模,经冲压制成修复体。传统技术存在以下不足:1.阳模放置不易保证垂直;2.从成形圈内取出阴、阳模时要不停的敲击成形圈的边缘,导致成形圈损坏;3.阴模要分三次劈开,很难达到三等分的要求;4.轴面成形要反复交替锤击阴、阳模。
