咽鼓管是调节鼓室与大气之间气压平衡以维持中耳传音系统正常“工作”的唯一器官。对于慢性化脓性中耳炎这一常见耳病的最后一个治疗环节,即鼓室成形术来说,此管机能的良劣直接影响手术的成败。随着这种手术的广泛开展,咽鼓管机能的研究日益受到重视。遵照毛主席“要认真总结经验”的教导,现将我们自1972年10月至1976年9月期间229例鼓膜穿孔咽鼓管机能的考察报告如下。
The eustachian tube is the only organ that regulates the pressure balance between the tympanum and the atmosphere to maintain the normal “work” of the middle ear acoustic system.
