上海金翔木材批发市场是由上海南翔工业开发区有限责任公司和香港嘉汉集团有限公司等单位联合组建的股份制企业。在原林业部、上海市人民政府、嘉定人民政府、南翔镇党委、政府的大力支持下,创建于1997年5月,1998年4月18日正式开业。市场总体规划面积400亩,一期工程占地150亩,建筑面积6.6万 m~2,分成板材和原木两个交易区,已投资2350万元,摊位出租率88.6%,入市经营户145户。1998年开业实现销售额3亿元,1999年10.8亿元,预计2000年可达到13.15亿元。1999年市场木部利润503万元,上交国家财税
