OBJECTIVE: To investigate the personality characteristics of healthy volunteers who participated in the NAT2 typing test to provide scientific basis for the scientific understanding and promotion of new drug discovery and clinical pharmacology research conducted by volunteer students. Methods: Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) was used to investigate the personality traits of 119 healthy volunteers and compared with the control group and the national norm. Results: There were significant gender differences in the psychotic (P) scores of the volunteers. There was no significant difference in the personality traits between the volunteers and the control group. The P and L scores of male and female volunteers were significantly lower than those of the norm Differences, E sub-female was significantly higher than the norm. Conclusion: The characteristics of medical student volunteers have obvious differences with the general population. In the clinical pharmacology research should pay attention to personality characteristics of the subjects and their possible impact on the experimental results.
