Objective To investigate the social support status of low-income groups (also known as “ant”) of college graduates to understand their mental health and life satisfaction. Methods The social support scale of Xiao Shuiyuan was used to test 563 college students who graduated within 3 years. Results 1 The undergraduates’ subjective and objective social support, utilization of support, total score of social support and the norm of 10 cities in China were statistically significant (t = -35.46, P = 0; t = -18.81, P = 0; t = -18.43, P = 0; t = -38.89, P = 0). There was a statistically significant difference between men and women in the total score of social support and utilization (t = -2.11, P <0.05; t = = -2.92, P <0.01). Conclusion The social support status of this group is not ideal. The status of female social support is better than that of male, more use of self-advocate and objective social support source.
