在广东崖县冬播棉花中发现一些棉花“大铃套小铃”的现象。这种现象出现后,往往引起烂铃,尤其是影响远缘杂交后代的结实。现将初步观察结果,简要报导如下: 从棉铃的外部形态看,凡属棉铃内生有小铃的,大铃外形显得不饱满,铃顶呈现凹陷状,铃壳较厚,吐絮不畅。铃内一般有成熟的种子,但容易烂铃,而且一般是由内向外烂。亲缘关系较远的杂交铃,大铃内一般只有胚珠,难结种子。剥开大铃,可以看见在大铃基部又长出一个小铃。小铃的铃面黄绿色,布满油腺,4—5室,基部宽,上部
