This paper sorts out the views put forward at the symposium on the theory of “special economic zones and the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics”. The issues discussed in these views mainly focus on the relationship between Deng Xiaoping Theory and the construction of the special economic zone, the reform and opening up of the special economic zones, Economic development strategy and social development in special economic zones
