《淮南子·真》篇说:钟山之玉,用炭火烧上三天,其色泽不变。《史记·司马相如传》载:豫,今之枕木也。章,今之樟木也。二木生至七年,枕、樟方可区别。说的是鉴别玉的真伪,要烧它三天三夜;辨别枕木和樟木,须经过七年之久。这可以形象地说明:衡量、判断一个人有无前途,不能只看一时一事的表现。要经过长期的实际考验,方能识别其品质高低和能力大小乃至有无作为。因此这对我们发现和培养黄梅戏艺术人才,推动其兴旺发展大有裨益,值得引以为鉴。
