慧生在一八九九年,生于河北省东光县,今年是他的八十诞辰;一九六八年底逝世,到现在刚刚过了十个年头。慧生是被林彪、“四人帮”残酷迫害致死的,今天能够得到平反、昭雪,是党和人民所给。慧生有知,当含笑九泉。我在过去几十年里看过慧生的多少次演出,又与他共同生活多年,如今再也见不到他,只能擦干眼泪重新检看慧生生前的剧照和他的遗著、他写的《艺事日记》、他作的画等,回想他排戏、演戏的情景、他课子、教女、授徒和他与朋友们畅谈戏曲演唱艺术的情景,中心恻恻。深感他在几十年中苦心孤诣地钻研京剧旦角演唱艺术,创造出独具一
Huisheng was born in Dong Guang County, Hebei Province in 1899 and this year is his 80th birthday. He died in 1968 and has just passed ten years.
