福州台江百货大楼是八闽第一家迎着共和国曙光诞生的国营商场,它有着赫赫瞩目的历史:早在五十年代初就荣膺国家商业部“为人民服务的尖兵”称号,在此后的30多年中,它的各项经济指标一直名列全省百货行业的榜首。但进入八十年代末,随着行业竞争的加剧,尤其是附近几座现代化商厦的相继建成,台百承受了激烈的挑战,面临着被挤垮的威胁。
Fuzhou Taijiang Department Store is the first state-run malls to be built in the dawn of the Republic of China.
