举办《世纪女性》艺术展活动,是我们开始艺术品收藏的契机。为了筹办1998年在中国美术馆举办的《世纪女性》艺术展,我们于1997年开始了对当代艺术品的收藏并于次年成立了泰达当代艺术博物馆。借助这个平台我们举办了《跨世纪彩虹——艳俗艺术》等一系列展览与艺术活动。目前我们正在展开对圆明园、东村等艺术家聚集地的资料收藏与整理工作。利用举办这些学术活动的机会进行自己的收藏工作是我们一直以来的做法,在藏品的挑选方面我们的价值取向也是一直坚持以学术性为核心。
Holding the “Women of the Century” art exhibition is an opportunity for us to start collecting works of art. In preparation for the “Century Women” art exhibition held in China Art Museum in 1998, we started collecting works of contemporary art in 1997 and the TEDA Museum was established the following year. With this platform we have held a series of exhibitions and art activities such as “Cross-century Rainbow - Gaudy Art”. At present, we are carrying out the work of collecting and arranging the data collected by the artists such as Yuanmingyuan Park and Dongcun. It has always been our practice to take advantage of the opportunity to organize these academic activities. Our value orientation in the selection of collections has always been to maintain the academic as the core.
