宪法是国家的根本法,是治国安邦的总章程,是保持国家统一、民族团结、经济发展、社会进步和长治久安的法律基础,是中国共产党执政兴国、团结带领全国人民建设中国特色社会主义的法制保证。十届全国人大二次会议通过的宪法修正案,凝聚全党全国人民的集体智慧,符合最广大人民的根本利益,是我国宪政史上的又一次与时俱进。经过这次修改,我国宪法更加完善,更加符合国情,更加反映时代精神,更加适应全面建设小康社会、开创建设中国特色社会主义事业新局面的要求,必将更好地发挥
The Constitution is the fundamental law of the country, the general constitution of managing the country and its security, and the legal basis for maintaining national unification, national unity, economic development, social progress and long-term peace and stability. It is the legal system by which the CPC reigns and relies on the country, unifies and leads the people of the whole country in building socialism with Chinese characteristics Guarantee. The amendment to the constitution passed at the Second Session of the Tenth National People’s Congress, which unifies the collective wisdom of all the people throughout the country, meets the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people and is another step forward in the constitutional history of our country. After this amendment, our country’s constitution will be more perfect, more in line with the actual conditions of our country, more a reflection of the spirit of the times, and more adapting to the requirements of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and creating a new situation in the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
