公式化语言是每一个言语社团中的人们在日常交际行为中所使用的一些常规的、可预测的、频繁出现的、约定俗成的表达方式。公式化语言在言语产出的过程中是一种捷径,说话者通过使用熟悉的、预先构制的公式化语言可以大大压缩了语言处理的时间,维持社会交际和互动,实现交际目的。公式化语言在语言交际和在第二语言习得中具有重要的作用,它是外语习得不可缺少的部分,是创造与正确运用语言的前提和基础,并能对第二语言习得与教学提供有价值的启示。
