《中国社会科学报》首先要加大对中国和世界的重大理论问题与现实问题的探讨与报道;其次要提倡对重大理论问题的争鸣,现在名种意见很多,但报上公开争论的文章越来越少;第三要办出自己的风格,要和《光明日报》及《中华读书报》有所区别;第四要提倡严谨、求实的学风,勇于创新的学风,敢于批评不良风气的学风;第五针对目前学术界存在的种种不良学风,要开辟专栏或组织专题,加大讨论力度、批评力度。
