即时通信平台是集短信、广告、游戏、社区交友等众多成熟 商业模式为一体的超级终端,如今已经不再是一个独立的软件产 品,它已经成为门户网站整合业务、为用户提供一体化增值服务 的高级功能,是目前及今后互联网公司赢利的重要方式。 1年半之前,我们对朗玛UC进行过评测,当年的UC羽翼未 丰,在很多功能上很不完善,如今它已并入新浪旗下--7月6 日,新浪收购UC即时通信平台,新浪“了了吧”于2004年7月 29日起自动升级至UC。其实UC一问世,就将矛头直指QQ,从 它们很多颇为相像的功能中我们不难看出这点。其网络棋牌游 戏、聊天室、特色场景和灵活的视频语音功能等等,吸引了大量 用户的眼球,而且它是免费的。如今的UC具有周到的社区服务 和聊天室、游戏厅、场景聊天、集成游戏、免费邮箱等,都表现 出UC成熟完整的开发服务体系。新浪看中了UC,作为其门户网 站的有力武器,拥有8000万注册用户和20万在线用户,但其 成长之势并不亚于早年QQ的蓬勃。
