The Chief Secretary for Administration praised Chinas Gas Hong Kong and China Gas (Hong Kong Stock Code: 00003) for its 150th anniversary reception on October 15, officiated by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, and officiated at the ceremony with Lee Shau Kee, the chairman of the gas company. Gas Chairman Lee Shau Kee said at the reception that the gas company was established in 1862 with an operating capital of only £ 35,000 and a gas plant with a 24 km long gas pipeline and 500 gas streetlights, which were not yet available in Hong Kong. Gas companies take root in Hong Kong and keep up with the development of Hong Kong. So far, the gas pipeline network in Hong Kong has reached 3,500 km
