绘本是图文并茂的故事,语言简洁、图画优美、故事有趣,能让孩子喜欢阅读,同时,阅读绘本对儿童的成长发展有着不可估量的作用。日本绘本之父松居直先生认为:“对于图画书而言,读书就是读故事,通过图画读懂故事……如果想象力丰富,人就能看到看不见的东西。图画书与想象力有很大的关系。”儿童的想象力不是与生俱来的,是通过自身体验获得的。绘本具有培养孩子想象力、观察力和思考力的独特功能。笔者将结合一节课例谈英语绘本阅读如何发展小学生的思维能力。这节课的内容是小学译林版《英语》四年级配套课外读物《快乐英语
