与制造业侧重于技术创新有所不同,作为服务型企业的广东移动的创新更加强调整合的概念。在中国,一提到创新,人们往往会想到发明、专利等技术上的创新,也会想到围绕某个具体而有形的产品的创新,而往往忽视了另一种创新,也就是服务创新。技术创新主要表现为一种有形活动,其结果是一种有形产品,摸得着、看得见;而服务创新则是一种概念性和过程性的活动,其结果也是一种无形的概念、过程和标准,如一种新的保险规程、一种新的表现形式,等等。
