“作画贵在摄情”是清代著名画家恽南田在画论中提出的重要论点,同时也是他对明清近四百多年传统绘画的理解和认识,也是中国传统绘画发展的必然产物和结果。本文首先以历代画论中有关于“作画贵在摄情”的观点在“情”与“笔墨”之间的关系中进行系统的分析和梳理。并通过从宋代以来到明清“墨竹”的绘画作品为例,阐述并说明历代画家对同一物象的抒情写照,虽其笔墨形式各异,而在作画中“摄情”的艺术思维及审美意识是“共通”的。本文又以徐渭、八大山人、齐白石,三个历史时期的代表画家的生平画迹以及绘画作品中所呈现的艺术风格的独特性,并对其艺术共性进一步的分析,而得出不同的艺术个体绘画笔墨形式的不同,而所“摄”之“情”也不相同的观点。“摄情”之笔墨是画家的生活阅历和笔墨经验的积累及时代背景综合的结果。在文章后部分结合笔者自身学习中国画的体会,而认识到笔墨是中国传统绘画语言的主体,它是画家对物象的理解认识后,在精神意识上的表现,而通过其笔墨作为感情意识的载体,即“摄情”。“摄情”才是画者的最终目的之一,“作画贵在摄情”。
