湖北省郧西县地处鄂西北边陲,北依秦岭,南临汉江,俗有“秦之咽喉,楚之门户”之称,著名的“湖北关”座落于县西北的鄂陕两省交界处,1987年被国务院确认为革命老区县。由于长期处于相对贫困状态,广大农民群众对党中央、国务院的任何一桩惠农政策都感恩不尽,极力拥戴,新型农村合作医疗制度更是如此。
Luxi County of Hubei Province is located at the border of northwestern Hubei Province, north of Qinling Mountains, south of the Han River, popularly known as the “throat of Qin, and the gateway of Chu”. The famous “Hubei Guan” is located in the northwest of the county. The border between Shaanxi and Shaanxi provinces was recognized by the State Council as an old revolutionary district and county in 1987. Due to the relative poverty in the long-term, the majority of peasant people are grateful and supportive of any Party’s Central Government and State Council policies for benefiting farmers, especially in the new rural cooperative medical system.
