计算机模拟是世界上采矿与矿物处理工业中最成功的计算机应用技术之一。将总结可以在微机或者其它类型计算机上使用的几类模拟软件系统，也将讨论曲线拟合、统计分析和模拟模型优化的支持软件，还将探讨综合应用软件系统进行模拟的方法。在讨论商品化通用模拟软件和专用模拟软件应用性能的同时，还将分析模拟的优缺点，从中将得出矿业中模拟的几种未来可能性，给出发展趋势的预测。
Computer simulation is one of the most successful computer application technologies in the mining and mineral processing industry in the world. We will summarize several types of simulation software systems that can be used in microcomputers or other types of computers. We will also discuss support software for curve fitting, statistical analysis, and simulation model optimization. We will also explore ways to simulate integrated application software systems. While discussing the performance of commodity general-purpose simulation software and application-specific simulation software, the advantages and disadvantages of simulation will also be analyzed. Several future possibilities of simulation in mining industry will be obtained, and the forecast of development trend will be given.
