空山新雨,是一种空灵的美,是一番只可观想的景致,是一种抽象的情感。空山,何为空,空是宇宙的气象,是时间与空间的跨越,也是中国传统美学与佛教的观念。空是实的反义,是无相,无声,无有实际,《心经》中:空不异色,色不异空,空即是色,受,想,行,识。空,不是不存在,是不实在,是虚空,是三千大千世界的微尘,也是道教中的茫茫太虚。空山,是禅境中的山,而新雨,则是洗尽铅华后的寂寥。它不是可以名状的实在的线条与色彩世界,而是需要思静虑的禅的世界,是顿悟的世
