2015年1月,“西南考古协作会预备会议”在成都召开。与会代表就重启西南考古协作会的重要性和必要性、西南考古协作会发展方向、西南考古协作会发展规划等主题展开了交流和讨论。代表们对重启西南考古协作会的意义取得共识,并一致通过将西南考古协作会秘书处设于四川大学历史文化学院,2015年第一届西南考古协作会正式会议在贵州召开的提议。
January 2015, “Preparatory Meeting for Southwest Archeology Collaboration Conference” was held in Chengdu. The delegates held exchanges and discussions on the importance and necessity of restarting the Southwest Archeology Symposium, the development direction of the Southwest Archeology Symposium, and the development planning of the Southwest Archeology Symposium. The delegates reached consensus on the significance of restarting the Southwest Archeology Symposium and unanimously adopted the proposal to place the secretariat of the Southwest Archeology Symposium at the Institute of History and Culture of Sichuan University and the official conference of the first Southwest Archeology Symposium in 2015 in Guizhou.
