Project Background SSAB is the largest non-alloy and low-alloy steel supplier in Scandinavia. The company produces 6.6 million tonnes of crude steel in Sweden and the United States, and is the world’s leading supplier of high-strength steel. SSAB consistently invests in cutting-edge technologies and has recently advocated a focus on improving timing control, data acquisition, communications and regulation of Proview systems. Proview was jointly developed by SSAB and Mandator to provide the functionality of a soft PLC running on the open source Linux / PC platform. Over the years, SSAB has been adopted by Proview
