2000年2月22日,文化部组织、举办了“中国数字图书馆发展战略研讨会”。参加会议的有中国科学院文献情报中心、中国社会科学院文献情报中心、中央党校图书馆、中国国际广播电台等单位的代表。中国数字图书馆发展战略研究组第一副组长高文博士、有关技术、管理和法律专家以及国家863计划的有关科学家也参加了这次会议。 会议由文化部原副部长徐文伯主持,首先,他向大会介绍了中国数字图书馆战略组的工作进展情况和中国数字图书馆的研究、建设任务以及工程示范单位的签约情况。他说,中文信息资源的开发和建设任务已急迫地摆在我们面前。为此,1998年8月,由文化部牵头,提出建设中国数字图书馆工程,这项工作得到了院士、专家的赞同和各方面的重视和支持。国务院专门批准成立中国数字图书馆有
On February 22, 2000, the Ministry of Culture organized and held “China Digital Library Development Strategy Seminar”. Participants at the conference include the Chinese Academy of Science Document and Information Center, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Documentation and Information Center, the Central Party School Library, China Radio International and other units. Dr. Gao Wen, the first deputy leader of China Digital Library Development Strategy Research Group, and relevant scientists from technical, management and legal experts as well as the National 863 Program also attended the conference. The meeting was chaired by Xu Wenbo, former vice minister of the Ministry of Culture. First, he briefed the General Assembly on the progress of the work of the strategy group of China Digital Library and the research and construction tasks of China’s digital library and the contract signing of engineering demonstration units. He said that the task of developing and building Chinese information resources has been urgently before us. Therefore, in August 1998, led by the Ministry of Culture, proposed the construction of a digital library project in China.
