进入21世纪,我国经济实力快速增长,取得了令人瞩目的全球影响,与其他国家在政治、经济、文化和科学技术等方面开展的交流日益频繁。英语作为世界通用语言的地位日益提高;据不完全统计,全球有超过40%的人在学习和使用英语;超过85%的科技文献是用英语以书籍、期刊和专利等形式出版的(於金生,2014)。伴随着经济全球化、信息网络化、交流深入化的发展,社会急需大量的专业能力强又精通外语的复合型人才。因此,高等院校应根据社会对专业人才的需求,确立并完善培养方向,及时调整、制定新的专业英语教学方案,培养既有专业知识又具备相应专业需要的英语水平的毕业生,以满足人才市场的需求。
With the rapid growth of China’s economic strength in the 21st century, China has witnessed remarkable global impact and exchanges with other countries in the fields of politics, economy, culture, science and technology have become increasingly frequent. More than 40% of the world’s people are learning and using English, according to incomplete statistics. More than 85% of the scientific literature is published in English in books, periodicals, patents, etc. Health, 2014). Therefore, institutions of higher learning should establish and improve the direction of training according to the needs of professionals in the society, timely adjust and formulate new programs of professional English teaching so as to cultivate graduates who have both professional knowledge and relevant professional needs to meet English standards Talent market demand.
