通常测定根系再生能力的工作是在可调节的环境下进行的。传统的根系调查方法缺点是:不能够同时测定苗茎和根系的生长进程,甚至不能定期地测定根、茎间的相互关系。本文作者对橡树(Quercus spp)苗的研究表明,根系生长的速度与苗茎最初生长的状态密切相关。因此,定期测定根茎间相互关系就显得非常重要。根部观测器可在苗木生长过程中(不挖取根系),随时进行根系和地上部分生长的调查。
The work of measuring root regeneration capacity is usually done in an adjustable environment.
