起始于一块红砖和一台手持摄像机——李巨川最开始的创作就曾不具备典型的录像作品的特征:没有预设的观者群体,也没有预设的观看空间或平台。相对于那些注定要进入体制化的语境(并进一步被诠释、探讨、流通甚至炒作)最终被赋予一个相对稳固意义的作品来说,李巨川的作品在按下停止键的(如果当时他使用的手持摄像机有停止键的话)时候,就戛然而止地完成了。一条没有经过任何剪辑的连贯长镜头,没有布景,没有剧本,也没有演员,有的只是客观的真实世界。而红砖、手持摄像机和创作者的身体,在这个真实的世界中成为了闭合的环:任何一者
Starting with a red brick and a hand-held video camera, Li Juchuan’s original creations never had the typical characteristics of a video recording: there is no preset viewer group and no preset viewing space or platform.
