In 2005, the import and export trade of China’s major non-ferrous metal products was very active. As the prices of major non-ferrous metals in domestic and overseas markets soared, the import and export volume also increased significantly. According to statistics, from January to October, the import and export volume of China’s major non-ferrous metal products has reached 37.98 billion U.S. dollars, up 32.1 percent over the same period of last year. It is estimated that the annual trade volume will reach 45 billion U.S. dollars, up 25% over the previous year. 1. International market price of copper
