Pollen of a clone IVP_ (48) of S. phureja was stored in a -15 ° C silica gel as desiccant for a period of 1 month to 5 years. When pollinating another Fritillaria clone with these stored pollen, there was a significant negative correlation between the pollen storage period and the number of seeds per berry. However, the frequency of berry fruit per pollination, the number of seeds per pollination, and the pollen storage time were not significant, and the variation of berry fruit was also irregular. Pollen storage for one year, the average number of seeds per berry reduced by about 60% of the previous year.
