吉县位于山西省吕梁山南端,扼守晋陕边界,总面积1777.26平方公里,辖3镇5乡,79个行政村,567个自然村,10.45万人。境内三面环山,一面滨水,海拔最高1820.5米,最低393.4米,属黄土高原残垣沟壑区。境内气候四季分明,光照充足,日照时数2538小时,大于10℃的有效积温3361.5℃。无霜期年平均172天,年均气温10.2℃,年均日较差11.5℃,年均降水522.8毫米。属暖温带大陆性气候。
Jixian County is located in the southern tip of Luliangshan Mountain in Shanxi Province, guarding the Shanxi-Shaanxi border, with a total area of 1777.26 square kilometers and administer 3 towns and 5 townships, 79 administrative villages, 567 villages and 104,500 people.
