独立学院作为一种新兴的高等教育模式,需要根据自身的特点和办学宗旨研发外语教材,而不是“生搬硬套”母体高校的教材。教材的研发应以需求分析为基础。笔者对广西三所独立学院的英语专业学生进行了问卷调查与访谈,运用定量与定性分析的方法,试图找出独立学院英语专业学生的特点及需求,希望对研发适合独立学院英语专业学生的教材有所启示。
